Little Mountain Country Club in Concord is a Hurdzan/Fry par 70, 18-hole 6628 yard championship design featuring manicured playing conditions highlighted by bent grass fairways, tees and putting surfaces. This course was one of only six new courses rated with 5 stars by Golf Digest Places to Play in 2006/07 - one of only 17 courses in the country to receive this designation!
The property uses the latest technology in irrigation and derogation systems, and provides over 8 miles of uninterrupted concrete cart paths. There are four sets of tee areas that are quite evenly interspersed, providing golfers of all skill levels with the opportunity to choose a set that matches their game. The back tees measure 6616 yards with a slope of 131, while alternate sets weigh in at 6111 yards/126 slope, 5554 yards/117 slope for men and 123 for women, and 4982 yards with a slope of 115 from the forward sets.
Situated amidst the gently rolling terrain and wooded landscape of Northeastern Ohio, Little Mountain features diversity in design with numerous holes affected by the unspoiled waterway of Ellison Creeks (five holes have water hazards in play), and with eighty white soft sand bunkers located greenside or near the landing zones of fairways.
Mature trees line many of the well maintained fairways, and glacier rocks add to the aesthetic beauty. The sand traps are often deep and penal in nature. Avid golfers will appreciate the challenge and all levels of players will enjoy the beautiful golfing environment.
Practice facilities include a targeted grass range and putting green, while the clubhouse includes locker rooms with showers for men, a pro shop, restaurant/lounge and outdoor patio. Banquet/outing facilities can accommodate up to 150 guests. On course golfers will find yardages posted on the fairways every 25 yards from 225 yards out to 75 yards in, and cart paths at 100, 150 and 200 yards on all par fours and fives. GPS on the carts provides accurate measurements to the pin.
Each tee box is marked - a much appreciated feature. This is a gorgeous piece of property, which presents a secluded and serene golf experience.
