THE GOLF CLUB OF DUBLIN (614)792-3825
Ohio Golf Course Review
The Golf Club of Dublin is based on the sound principle of "Architecture". The Tartan Golf Company went to great lengths to preserve the quality of the project and the detail of everything that makes up the Golf Club of Dublin. The history of the project was to create an authentic golf experience of the British Isles without leaving the States and to give Dublin an award winning public golf facility. The project started slowly but has gained full steam as it has been recognized and awarded.
Sprinkler heads on the fairways are also measured to the center of the greens as well as 150 yard posts in the fairway on all par fours and par fives. Golf carts are equipped with GofLogix GPS to provide accurate hole location information at each green. 67 sand bunkers come into play near fairway landing zones and greenside. Water comes into play at each hole with the exception of the 408 yard par 4 fourth and the 385 yard par four 16th.
The Clubhouse amenities include a pro shop, a grill room serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, an outdoor pavilion with room for 150 people, and a 2nd story patio with a view of the 18th green. Practice facilities feature a Driving Range, putting green, and short game area with bunker.
Golf Club of Dublin offers the only true links golf experience in the Midwest and features fescue turf, stacked stone walls, over 70 hand stacked sod face bunkers and water detention areas on just about every hole. The greens are enormous, square shaped and very fast. Fairways are generous enough for the casual golfer, and flanked by water hazards and bunkers enough to challenge the low-handicapper.
There are 4 sets of tee boxes that play to distances and slopes measuring 7021 yards/128 slope, 6363 yards/122 slope, 5975 yards/118 slope and 4969 yards with a slope of 95 for women hitting from the front tees. From the back tees each of the six par fours on the front nine measure over 400 yards including the number one handicapped 9th, which is 436 yards long. Golfers who choose move up to the next tee box get a break and only face two par fours over 400 yards long.
The Golf Club of Dublin features a challenging yet fair round for golfers of all skill levels. For more info, visit our detailed listing page for the course with a direct link to their website by clicking here.
