Glenross Golfclub in Deleware, Ohio - approximately 30 minutes North of Columbus, offers a 6,600 yard, par 70 layout lined by large majestic oak trees, acres of wet lands, and natural grass areas
The Clubhouse amenities include a pro shop, a grill room , full bar, banquet facilities, an outdoor patio for dinning, and a seasonal pool house. The Glenross Pub features a full lunch/dinner menu including specialty pizzas and happy hour at the bar every day 3pm-7pm Practice facilities feature a Driving Range, 2 putting greens, and short game area with bunker.
There are four sets of tee boxes that measure in distance and slope of 6607/119, 6122/1165634/113, and 5028 also with a slope of 113 for women who choose the forward tees. As the slope rating indicates, this is a player friendly track providing an enjoyable experience for golfers of all skill levels. The front nine plays nearly 200 yards longer than the back (from the tips) on this par 70 course, and each nine features 1 par five.
Yardage on course is well marked including 150 yard posts in the fairways and markings on the sprinkler heads measured to center green. Pin placement sheets are provided on the carts proving useful during approach shots. The course is well maintained, fairway areas in front of the greens are mowed in an inviting checkered pattern.
The topography is rolling with undulating green complexes and ample room off the tee, although tall oak trees line the fairways. There are 50 sand bunkers that are strategically located near the landing zones or placed greenside, and , seven ponds come into play on a variety of holes. There is a natural creek.that also transverses the property. Acres of wetlands and tall native grasses add to the allure and challenge.
